Pickleball is one of the fastest growing community sports across Australia and here on the Sunshine Coast. It combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis.
We offer opportunities here in Buderim, at Buderim Pickleball and Tennis Club, to get involved in Pickleball.
Pickleball is a great sport for people of all ages and abilities.
Pickleball courts are roughly one-third the size of tennis courts. Shorter paddles and lighter balls allow players to pick up the game quickly - even without prior racquet sport experience.
Pickleball is a super social sport. Quick games mean frequent rotation, creating more opportunities to meet and connect with others while you move.
While many people enjoy the social side of play, pathways do exist for those seeking to move from casual to competitive play.
For more information about the basic Pickleball rules, click here.
If you're not sure about where to start, the rules, how to play, ask our friendly Buderim Pickleball and Tennis club members and they'll be happy to help.
Buderim Pickleball and Tennis Club is exploring if there's sufficient community interest and demand to run a Cardio tennis session.
If you're interested, please do contact us.
You don't need any prior tennis experience to participate in Cardio Tennis, just a willingness to move. It's great for everyone, all abilities, fitness levels and backgrounds.
It can be a great way to ease back into fitness, whether you're recovering from an injury, postpartum, or just getting started. Sessions can be adapted to suit your ability and fitness level.
